Alpine Days

Students, if you are chosen to participate in Alpine Days we need the following:
1. a commitment that you will be able to attend and stay for your events.
2. a current grade printout no later than Friday, April 26 (bring to Coach Eddy's room) showing NO F's in any class and a 2.0

Tuesday, April 30--start time 1:30

100 m trials: girls then boys, 7, 8, 9
400 m seeded finals
1600 m finals

Wednesday, May 1--start time 2:00

Meet at Lone Peak, Wednesday, April 24

Here is the schedule of events for our meet at Lone Peak against PGJHS. We have grouped the sprinting events near the beginning since we have so many students get checked out half-way through the meet.

Field events start at 2:30 
   High Jump--9th, 7th, 8th
   Long Jump--8th, 9th, 7th
   Shot Put--7th, 8th, 9th

Track events
3200 boys and girls   start at 2:40

100 m--girls 7,8,9 followed by boys 7,8,9

Spring Break Track Workouts

Monday April 1st:  35 min run without stopping at a comfortable hard pace (about 2 minutes slower than your mile pace)
Tuesday April 2nd:  30 min run with the first 10 min at a normal pace, next 5 min at a hard pace, next 2 min at an easy pace, next 5 min at a hard pace and the last 8 min at an easy pace.
Wednesday April 3rd: 35 min EASY run
Thusday April 4th:  30 min run with 10 min. at normal pace, then 5x1 min intervals HARD with 1 min recovery in between, fnishing off with 10 min easy.. (10 min easy, 1 min hard, 1 min easy, 1 min hard, 1 min easy, 1 min hard, 1 min easy, 1 min hard, 1 min easy, 1 min hard, 1 min easy, 10 min cooldown/easy)
Friday April 5th:  35 min EASY run
Saturday April 6th:  40 min EASY run

Results for 2013 Meet with AFJHS

Dear Husky Track Stars!

Thanks so much for participating in our first track meet against AFJHS. We are now able to show you the results.

Our next meet is Thursday, March 28 at West Lake High School. IT IS A TRI-MEET against Lakeridge and Vista Heights.

Please DO NOT go to A-4 that day. You will be excused. At the end of A-3 or 2nd lunch, please change into your running clothes. Meet at the bus, dressed and with your water bottle, etc. at 1:45.
